TRAINING CENTER and DHS COURSES |

| |
This
year’s Landscape Ontario Congress 2007 trade show
marked the unveiling of our new Mobile Training Center.
The climate controlled 450 ft² training center boasts
a classroom with seating for eight students, complete with
a DLP projector and instructor whiteboards. The laboratory
testing area houses a variety of irrigation and landscape
lighting equipment including wiring troubleshooting panels,
manual and automatic valves, controllers, transformers and
an assortment of input sensors.
The rear of the training center contains the 100 ft²
wet room. In it, students can actually practice setting,
replacing and troubleshooting a variety of irrigation applicators
in action – sprays, rotors, drip-line and micro-sprays.
This venue will give DHS service technicians and other students
the hands-on practical application training and exposure
that is vital to learning irrigation theory that text books
alone cannot provide.
Low Student to Teacher Ratio!
One of the many features of the Mobile Training Center is
the unique front classroom setting. Limiting the comfortable
seating to eight allows for true teacher to student interaction.
Our classroom intimacy allows for the student to feel involved
in the theoretical portion of the teaching, while the instructor
can monitor student involvement and activity by involving
the students in the lecture portion of the learning. |

Testing Troubleshooting
Skills!
Whether it’s learning how to properly program an older
model controller, or working with a newly released ET Weather
Station, students can test their skills at controller programming,
valve operation and wiring abilities in the laboratory section.
A series of troubleshooting skills can be tested using the
complete irrigation systems in place. The Mobile Training
Center also offers a wide selection of landscape lights
and transformers for service technicians to improve their
skills. |

Wet Room Tests
Ability!
Towards the rear of the Mobile Training Center is the popular hands-on
laboratory and wet room. The wet room is a large 100 square foot
waterproof area. In this brightly lit area, students can build confidence
in working with various product lines in multiple areas of irrigation.
Whether its learning how to adjust the common Maxi Paw or determining
which low volume adjustments fit a specific need, students leave
the wet room with the hands-on knowledge that will satisfy even
the most demanding customer.
